Recording a CD at Back Porch Studio

Please note this update: At this time I am not scheduling any major recording sessions. However, I am now available, as time allows, to schedule shorter sessions that might include one to three songs.

Whether you are interested in recording a one-song, one-CD souvenir demo, or a full-color, ten-song CD project at the Back Porch Studio, you can find information here about studio charges. In addition to the basic costs for studio time, there are many options for CD duplication that I have listed below -- from a very basic CD in a slimline case to a full-color CD with a four-page, full-color booklet, full-color label, and full-color back tray liner in a standard CD case. STUDIO CHARGES, CD RECORDING, SET-UP
AND DUPLICATION OPTIONS AND COSTS

• Studio time: $40.00 per hour.
Studio time is the actual time spent recording a project, but is also charged at the same rate
for re-mixing and mastering the CD and formatting the layout and design for each part of the CD package.

• CD only with slimline case:

1-5: $3.25 each; 6-15: $2.75 each; 16-25: $2.25 each

• Black & white art on CD label only, slimline case:

1-5: $4.00 each; 6-15: $3.25 each; 16-25: $3.00 each

• Color art on CD only, slimline case:

1-5: $4.50 each; 6-15: $3.75 each; 16-25: $3.50 each

• Color art on CD, Color art on two-sided jewel-case insert, slimline case:

1-5: $5.50 each; 6-15: $4.75 each; 16-25: $4.50 each

• Color art on CD, Color art on two-sided front cover, back color tray liner, regular CD case:

1-5: $6.75 each; 6-15: $6.00 each; 16-25: $5.75 each

• Color art on CD, 4-page color booklet, back color tray liner, regular CD case:

1-5: $7.50 each; 6-15: $6.75 each; 16-25: $6.50 each

If ordering more than twenty-five CDs, I recommend ordering 50 CDs to get a better rate.
I will send the master CD to a professional duplication service. Song titles will actually be printed onto the CD in black ink.
Please note that the duplication process can extend the turn-around time to approximately one week to ten days.

If using this option, the cost for 50 CDs will be as follows:

• CD only with text printed directly on CD, slimline case: $2.75 each

• CD text printed directly on CD; Color art on two-sided jewel-case inset, slimline case: $4.25 each

• CD text printed directly on CD; 4-page color booklet, slimline case; $4.75 each.

• CD text printed directly on CD, Color art on two-sided front cover, back color tray liner, regular CD case: $5.25 each

• CD text printed directly on CD, 4-page color booklet, back color tray liner, regular CD case: $6.00 each
