Though the Back Porch Studio is primarily used for music notation and sequencing, several individuals and groups have used the studio to produce demos to promote their original songs or simply to make souvenir recordings for family and friends.
Some of the people and projects that have been recorded at the Back Porch Studio are:
- Darla Day - "Love of My Life" (The Wedding Song) - Engraved Finale notation from studio tracks of this song that has become quite a "hit" in 2008. The music for "Love of My Life" was composed by Mark Phillips, my son. This notation along with tracks and other songs are available on her website. Here's the link to Darla's website:
- Jamie Bowles - Flying' With an Angel's Wings Tonight - Country demo written by the late Chuck Seals, whose best-known song was "Crazy Arms," a country standard. The tape recorded here in the studio was played at Chuck's funeral.
- Mark Phillips - Mark's One and Only Original Chicken Soup - MIDI orchestrations of twelve original tunes. One tune from this collection was played for a dance routine at the state Junior Miss competition.
- Amy Johnson (Phillips) - Songs by Amy - Collection of contemporary Christian songs.
- Rebecca Decker - SurrenderPoint - Original keyboard solos.
- Lyndsay Mulhall - Inside of Me - Original contemporary Christian songs.

- Beth Harris, Eileen Mitchell, Cathleen Owens - Circle of Faith - contemporary tunes originally recorded by Point of Grace, as well as original arrangements.
- Gina Tracy and Myrna Taylor - Hymns for Grandpa - Five hymns and gospel songs.
- Natasha Scott - Natasha Goes Country - A demo of five country songs.
- Amy Warden. - Valentine - Single recorded to be played during her wedding

- Joe Ann Gary - Janie Come Home - Original song written by Joe Ann, a member of Hillvue Heights Praise Team.
- Brice Groves - That's What Faith Must Be - Originally recorded by Michael Card. (Michael is Brice's uncle).
- Caleb McCracken - Jesus Loves Me - recorded to be used at an Emmaus Walk meeting.
- Lyndsay Mulhall - Enough - Original song.
- Eric Drake - I Miss the Way and Feelin' Fine - Original keyboard solos with a light-jazz feel.
- Missy Barrett - My Heart Will Go On - Single saxophone solo.

- Garlon Sills - Concert at First Baptist Church, Franklin, KY, June, 1973. This CD was compiled posthumously from old cassette tapes.
- Joe Ann Gary - Dad's Song - A song written as a tribute to her father, Joe Kem.

- Numerous recordings of the Youth Praise Band at Living Hope Baptist Church as well as other small groups and individuals.
- Custom CD recording of accompaniment tracks for Laura Swanson to be used in video and live auditions.
- Narration recorded by Joe Kem for the Dana Corporation to be used in comprehensive promotional video about the plant operation. Recorded by Cameron Powell.
- Remastering of Vietnam Voices, a compilation of ten stories from some of the servicemen from Simpson County who served in Vietnam, from cassette tape to CD. Added Samuel Barber's "Adagio for Strings" underscoring.
- Songs from the Back Porch, a compilation of "favorites" sung by Janis Phillips, solo by Scott Poston, and my duet arrangement of "The Lord's Prayer" by Scott & Janis. This project, available in CD or cassette, also includes several MIDI orchestrations.
- Brittanie & Brandie Resha - The Resha's - A demo CD of the Resha sisters singing "Song of the Siren," "Mustang Sally," "Chances Are," "At Last," "Well Water" and "The Lord's Prayer".
- Projects by Mary Wood I have taken recordings of a melody sung by Mary and provided lead sheets with chords and accompaniment tracks for several of Mary's songs, including "Holy Rain," "My Father and KY," and others.
